The title is pretty self-explanatory: what are some health and fitness myths that annoy you? We have all heard some, especially growing up. There is always a new diet that promises miracles if you would just eat yoghurt and nothing else for ages (do not try this, it's actually dangerous!). There is always some exercise that promises extreme fat loss. However, these things aren't true! There is no such thing as an exercise that is the answer to all your prayers. Diets don't work, you have to make a permanent change in your lifestyle and make it a habit, not an occasional occurrence.

What really grinds my gears is when I see a workout that says it's for targeted fat loss in the stomach area for example. There is no such thing and it makes me want to scratch my eyes out! The body decides where it will lose fat from, and you could be running all day and for the longest time just keep losing weight from your upper body, even though it's your legs that are working the most. Targeted fat loss doesn't exist, and so many people buy into it, gah. What is the fitness myth that gets you all annoyed?

One of the most annoying myth is that, too much fitness will affect your sexual organs. It is something people believe so much that they would rather to add too much weight than do some exercises.

The second myth I find annoying is that exercising will bring about wrinkles very early and make you old at an early age. I believe exercises should make us even more youthful.

One thing that annoys me is how people believe that the more muscle you have, the fitter you are. However, this is not true. Runners are some of the most fit people on earth. I've also seen bodybuilders who cannot even run a mile, let alone love with ease.

The most annoying bro science that people actually believe is that if you hit the gym, your genital will become smaller. There's no actual study that says working out will make it smaller. It can actually make it a little bigger because of better blood flow.

In reality, professional bodybuilders use steroids. However, even steroids can't make your genital smaller. It can make your testicle smaller because of lower testosterone but not your actual genital. I think the root of this is that all the muscle in a bodybuilder's body become bigger while the genital stays the same, making it look like smaller.

I hate that people are still saying that fitness is everything and you can eat awfully but if you work out a ton you will be healthy. That is so wrong the diet should be the biggest part. Also working out doesn't always mean that you are healthy. There are many factors that can go under that broad term.
