I find it very inspiring how so many people on this thread are able to keep up with 8 glasses per day!

I do love drinking water. It's tasteless, light and is so healthy. Yet, I am not able to drink the required amount every day. I think it's mainly because life tends to get a little busy and I just tend to forget.

I believe its misrepresented. Three or four glasses a day ought to be bounty unless you devour a considerable measure of high sugar sustenances.

An excessive amount of water will drain your salt making you bleary eyed, queasy, and can't think. I think the recommended sums are 6, 8 oz. glasses, yet don't go over the edge in light of the fact that a lot of one thing can be terrible for you. It manages concoction adjusts in your body. Each body has particular needs, so it depends.

8-10 glasses of water is the old school recommendation. Recent studies have shown that there is no evidence to suggest that amount of hydration is beneficial. You will have to determine the hydration you need yourself by taking into account your environment and its temperature, your activity level as well as your body size. Your body knows best and you should follow its signal. If you are feeling thirsty, then drink more. Our kidney can only process certain amount of water every hour so if you overload it, then it will hurt you. Drinking more water is usually better than not drinking enough because over hydration rarely occurs. Just remember to space out the interval when you do need to drink and it will be good.

I know I am supposed to drink 8 glasses a day. This just seems like a hard task. The only time I was able to drink that much water and more was when I was pregnant. The body just called for that much water. I keep saying that I need to drink more water. It does have wonderful benefits and we could all use that. I probably drink 4 glasses a day. I need to definitely drink more.

I try to make a conscious effort to drink at least eight glasses of water. Sometimes I forget to drink the recommended water intake during the day if I get so pre-occupied with work. I do try to catch up in the evenings if I can and that works for me.

I had around 4-5 cups of water which is not enough. I should be having 6-8 cups of water daily. While I know, I am not having enough water, I still go drink less than the recommended amount. I really should start drinking more water.

I drink 15-20 glasses of water daily. Keeping a cute bottle of water in my bag and on my desk helps me to remember to drink water often. Additionally, I have several reminders around my environment so that I will not forget to drink water. I can really see the difference in face and skin, and feel the difference in my joints whenever I consistently drinking 15-20 glasses of water.

I drink lemon-infused water as my own health drink, but sometimes I can't kick the habit of drinking soda. Lemon water is really good in helping detoxify your body as compared to ordinary drinking water. As much as possible, I will try to drink up to 8 glasses of lemon water in order to fully keep my body hydrated. Ordinary drinking water is okay, but it doesn't feel like you'd want to take 8 glasses of ordinary drinking water as compared to lemon water.

I don't drink a whole lot of water since it makes me run to the bathroom a lot and that gets annoying in the middle of the night. I normally have around five cups in the morning and afternoon and then eat ice at night. My doctor told me during my last checkup that as long as my urine is a light golden color, my body is getting enough water and I shouldn't overdo it.

Many have their own opinions on how many glasses we should take each day. From what I know, we should take up to 8 glasses of water daily. This is about two liters or half a gallon of water. I have always had this rule at the back of my mind.

Benefits of water to our health system

Benefits of water to our health system The main liquid part of our body is Water. Water makes up 70% of our meals. Water is essential in flushing out texts, curing bodily fluids and moisturizing the body. Lack of enough water can lead to dehydration of the body. It can also result to lack of energy.

Is the recommendation to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day a bit inaccurate? The amount of water you need to drink would definitely be different depending on a variety of factors, such as weather, temperature, exercise, and sweating. Some of the water could come from drinks such as juice, soup, milk, or even soft drink (soda). What about eating foods with a high water content, such as watermelon? There has to be a lot of leeway around the 8 glasses a day suggestion.

Everyday, I always make sure that I get to drink plenty of water to keep my body hydrated. I used to suffer from a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) and this triggered me to oblige myself of drinking more water. In addition to that, more water intake keeps my skin rejuvenated all the time.

I have tried putting some lemon wedges in my water because they said it has a lot of health benefits for the body. And I find it a good thirst quencher as well.

On most days I drink at least 8 glass of water. It's pretty easy for me to do so since I don't like soda, coffee or milk and I rarely drink juice.

I drink about 5-6 glasses of water in a day. That might not be that much. However i eat plenty of fruits though, and most fruits has plenty of water in them, so i think i get enough water daily.

Even though common recommendation is to drink at least six to eight ounce glasses of water per day it can vary depending on various factors like climate, health condition of the person and his daily activities. For example a pregnant or breast feeding woman requires more water than a normal lady. We may require more water in a hot climate and less water during winter. We may also get water from food items like fruits and vegetables which contain a lot of fluid. It is very difficult to put a hard and fast rule in the quantity of fluid intake.

I have always found that I lack energy and I am less cheerful on the days where I drink small quantity of water.Water is simply the essence of our life,I have found that the ideal amount is 8 cups of water per day. Most people prefer to drink anything other than water, because water doesn't have flavour.Water doesn't only help you maintain a high level of energy ,but it also helps us preventing diseases and to stay healthy.

I drink a lot of water everyday , over 8 bottles, sometimes with lemon or strawberries for flavor. It has helped my health a bit, so I make sure I drink extra in hot weather.

I feel like their are days where I do not drink enough water. I think this has been the reason why I have been eating a bit more than I usually do. Maybe I am mistaking hunger for what is really dehydration. I also feel like consume more coffee and tea more than water. When coffee is iced, I feel hydrated, probably because of the ice. Tea also hydrates me, even if it's hot. Maybe eating less will increase my water consumption.

I live in the South and drink a LOT of water. The heat is stiffling and it just drains you. I drink in the area of 10-15 eight ounce glasses of water a day and with lots of ice and it really helps keep me cool,,,, I use a large insulatede mug and put in the water first to make sure I am getting enough and then add the ice. My eight year old grandson lives with me with his Mom and ever since he was small, he has loved water. He calls ice water and "ice cold refreshing!" I have no idea where he got that from, but when he asks for that I know what he wants and if you try to give him something else he will not drink it.

Obviously our bodies need water in order to survive. Our bodies are made up of water so drinking it is essential. Water is one of the most natural things you can put in your body. However, I don't think it is necessary to drink as much water as is recommended and I am a firm believer that too much water does make you fat.
