First thing that comes to your head when you hear " chinese phone " is cheap low quality phone.
Well, that's not the case anymore! We have to admit that chinese phones are getting better, China remains one of the very best countries in which to procure bulk orders. We can say that China is making most cell phones in the world, their business has grown quickly and now there is a big demand for cell phone throughout the world.
But the question is, are cheap chinese phones as low quality as people say they are?

For sure, those phones are way cheaper other branded phones but in fact they surely offer more performance for the price. Now, there's a lot of high quality phone brands like Xiaomi, DOOGEE.. and a lot more and they even have higher price range ( 400$-800$ ) and they're excellent. More than this they're fully unlocked and working on any network! But the bad thing is how you can get this phones from ffar countries, and how you can return faulty devices and a lot more problems.

In my opinion chinese phones are better because of their cheap price and high performance, maybe they couldn't compete with branded devices in the past but now everything has changed and chinese phones are really getting famous on Europe / Asia and Africa.

I've always wondered about the quality of some foreign phones. There are these really slim flip phones I see in like k-dramas and some japanese films that I was interested in looking up, found some on ebay that would work here in the states too!

Well, Chinese products have grades ranging from high quality to laughably poor products. The problem is that the poor quality items are cheap and everyone loves a cheap product, don't they? So Chinese phones have this reputation for being low quality but what is to be expected from something for which you pay pennies? I have used Chinese phones from the cheap end of the spectrum, and honestly, I would rather be without a phone. They are annoyingly loud, with rough functionality. But, I am sure if you are willing to dish out a little more cash, you might get a reasonable Chinese phone. It all comes down to the price tag.
