After years of speculation, she has formally launched her campaign today. It was rumored a couple of years ago that she would seek to run and now finally it's official.

Will she become the first female President? I think she would be a good one and is more than qualified. As a non American, I don't get to vote, but I hope people look at what she can do. Sometimes it's better the devil you know and do Americans really want to take a risk with an unknown for the next few years? The country is getting back on its feet and needs stability and not a whole new shake up from what I can see.

I am hoping they put some better candidates forward, as she is not my favorite, just too much unanswered crap and then there is the whole "she put up with Bill" crap. I would have a lot more respect for her, had she ditched him way back or if she had stepped up and took responsibility with the Arkansas issues that dogged them in the whitehouse.

Some thing is just not right with her ethics and judgement. It would be a mistake to waste the "first woman President" moniker on her.

I still look for the best qualified candidate, and for me, she is not it.

I have to agree with @dave david. I'm hoping that they can find a better qualified candidate than Hillary. There is just too much controversy surrounding her. I don't like the way she handled the whole Benghazi debacle - if this is an indication of what kind of president she'll be, I'm not sure she'll be good for the US.

While I would love to see a woman president, she needs to be first and foremost, qualified and effective. I just hope that they give us two good candidates next year to choose from. We need a strong leader to get us out of the problems the last two presidents have put in to.

I don't affiliate with a specific party, I just vote for the candidate I feel will do the best job. There's been a lot of controversy and criticism against Hillary, which has swayed my opinion of her. I do believe she'll get the Democratic nomination and she has a lot of support on her side. Unless the Republican Party comes up with a better candidate, I say Hillary has it in the bag.

Hillary has absolutely no chance of becoming President.

In the last 70 years, only one time has a party managed to win three consecutive Presidential Elections; for a Democrat (any Democrat) to even have a shot, Obama would need to have a Job Approval rating in the mid 60s, and right now he's at 47% with no hope of improvement. Added to which, we're in the middle of, not one, but three different bubbles that are going to burst at any minute, and which will lead to a massive correction in the market (estimates are anywhere from 15 - 20%), and a 2,700 point drop in the Stock Market is not something you want if you're running for President.

I'm sure she'll win the nomination, mostly because it's unlikely she's going to face any serious opposition, but she's going to get beat in the General Election, and beat bad.

My first thought was Hillary should have no problem being the first women President but with Donald Trump stepping in it should make for a great election. Hillary has the experience but I think Trump would bring a fresh new approach that is needed.

I am ecstatic that she is running for president. I would like to know who her running mate is. Many people wish Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders would run. It's time to move past made up scandals and vote for the best candidate that will serve the 99%. Clinton seems to be less of a corporate shill than her republican opponents. I will support the candidate that will work for income and gender equality. I wish Nader would run again for the Green Party ticket. If the Green Party puts in a good contender, this will make for an interesting battle. The republican contendors right now have become too far right. I think they should be easily discounted.

Is Hillary Clinton my idea Democratic candidate? No. But when you consider that her eventual Republican opponent will most likely espouse some combination of ideas more suited to the year 1916, not 2016, the choice is easy.

I find the fact that Hillary Clinton is running for President to be absolutely comical. Hillary, not to mention the Clinton family itself, is embroiled in so many scandals and corruption cases that it is quite frankly mind boggling. To think a person of this low level of integrity intends to lead our nation is as troubling as it is concerning. Overall however I do not believe she will even survive her own party primary. Hillary Clinton is unelectable and stands no chance when pitted against real candidates eligible and willing to take on the role of President of the United States.

I predicted even way far before 2008 that Obama would be the 44th USA president and even printed a T-shirt as an evidence, yet people called me a fool and I did not buy it because I followed carefully what was going on in the USA and realized that Obama was the only saviour back then. So now, Hillary will not win this election because if you see the USA outside of the box I believe that a REPUBLICAN will take it this time again and sure get ready for the WWW III.

So many people that I have come across in various forums do not like Hilary. They are quite leery of her because of he ties and connections. I have to say that she would not be my first pic, neither would Donald Trump...

Hilary Clinton will be the first woman President of United States because she is very intelligent, has enough political experience, she was already a first lady and she has a great image. I would like to see how she will change the world...

I will be voting for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election. I tried to vote for her in the 2008 primary election but she never made it past the primaries and to the general election. I am a long time Clinton supporter. I voted for Bill Clinton in 96 but in 92 I wasn't old enough to vote.

She has a lot of potential and i think she can make a good president. She is intelligent and she certainly knows how to engage her audience. Her foreign sounds great and am sure if elected, she will deliver on her mandate.

Hillary Clinton has a strong chance. Almost eight years ago, Hillary entered the White House race as the favorite to win the Democratic Party nomination and seemed the most likely person from either party to be elected president of USA.
Her circumstances at first glance look similar now. I think she is the leading Democrat and the most famous candidate in the field but at this time is much different, Hillary Clinton begins the race with a much, much larger advantage than in 2008 year against other Democrats in the primary, but it may be harder for Hillary to win the general election in 2016 year than it would have been back then.

In terms of the primary, Clinton is right now the strongest non-incumbent applicant from either party since then Vice President Gore ran in 2000 year. Dozens of members of Congress have already endorsed Hillary, her campaign staff includes some of the most experienced strategists in the Democratic Party. Barack Obama and his political circle have all but anointed her as his successor, the party's donors are strongly behind Hillary as well.

The whole Benghazi farce was a way for the republicans to make sure she doesn't clinch the white house cause lets face it, she is the strongest candidate out there. No one from both parties has the experience or the political impetus to compete with her.

So what do you do to a person who has strong credentials? Label them as untrustworthy. Anyway, whatever you or I say she will still will the elections because the country can't afford to elect trump as president.
