I am an aspiring entrepreneur and since being laid off in 2011, I have balanced traditional jobs with freelance writing gigs and other not so traditional opportunities. I have to admit that it is a bit frustrating to see some of the opportunities advertised that you can make real money working from home. I guess in the sense of the money being tangible its true, but when I hear "real money", I think at the very least it should be enough to pay a household bill or buy groceries for a couple of weeks.

I am finding that more and more sites, MIGHT pay you an amount that would be considerably less than minimum wage. For the past two days, I have tried to connect with several work from home or earn extra cash opportunities, including this site. I have made approximately $2.50 so far. I also recently visited a site that will pay you $1 a day and for only ten minutes of work. This means even if I worked full time hours, at this rate I would only be making $6 an hour. Is this really worth it? What are your thoughts?

Since online jobs don't look for people who have experience or a business degree it is pretty hard to make an honest living online. Also the fact there are a lot of scams out there which make people too scared to even invest dollar. Marketing is another great way to make money online, but it requires countless hours and has immense competition.

I certainly know the frustration! I am with so many sites I couldn't possibly name them all! I have some that I work more than others because once I get earning there it gets really good. What frustrates me too however is that sometimes, not always, you get a flow and then out of nowhere- BOOM!- it changes. Either you're limited to the work you can do or they run out of work or the pay gets lower, or something...ugh!!!

The worker pool for online opportunities is so large that for the most part companies don't feel as though they have to pay much. If you won't do it for such low pay then they will find someone else who will. It stinks, but I am still grateful for the opportunity to earn without having to leave the house. :)
