Can Crime In Your Country Be Stopped

If we elect leaders that are criminals how do we expect crime to stop. Citizens are ignorant of their responsibility to stop crime. We should start selecting leaders who are worth selecting. High level of crime is also as a result of unemployment. Job opportunities need to be created to yield productivity. Crime will only reduce when people are busy and productive in the society.

 

Crime is here to stay and it's growing more nastier and intelligent. Some parts of my country people commit crime for survival and around the world and more in Africa,Presidents are placed in power with crime as their foundation. Can crime be eliminated?No. But it can be reduced? Yes. If we start by having one objective as a people not as individuals

 

Yea...every day has its turn out of event so the only way out is trying to reduce crime by enforcing law but fighting to completely eradicate crime is like a rocket science. Only God knows the mind of a human being. You can't tell what they are planning next.

 

Well I think it's also a tough fight to end crime in any country and the first and major solution to it is EDUCATION, it is only when the people are literate enough that they will learn to be more productive instead of the opposite.

Job opportunity is a vital solution to the problem of the youth and if the youths can be busy with something they can concentrate on what they need instead of spending time thinking of worst thing to do.

Some crimes are committed out of normal circumstances or mental problem, so I think criminals should be tested to be sure they are normal if not they should be sent on rehabilitation for help.

I think if all is well with everyone then they won't be any criminal around.

 

I am from Kenya and the number one issue that is threatening the stability of business in the country is crime and especially terrorism. Recently alshabab attacked a business complex with more than 1000 people working in that complex by the name Dusit D2. 21 people died but we are not bowed by terrorism because there target is to bring fear and division. The government is the process of registering every citizen electronically to enhance security and everyone is now vigilant

 

In my country I doubt. Because starting with people on the top who are criminals, but they should help to reduce crime and how will they do that if they are criminals themselves.

 

I don't think crime can be stopped. There will always be people out there who are generally bad people, this as always been. Also some laws that are passed can be either authoritarian or silly in nature for example there could be a law that bans people from swearing. It will be hard to enforce, it's authoritarian and people will just ignore it anyway so they will be committing crime. So no, I don't think crime can be stopped.

 

I think criminality can't be stopped by any means. Of course, there are differences between countries.

It depends a little, but only a little, on what kind of crimes are in consideration. For example, in my country, speeding is a crime, and most people do it sometimes. Of course, there are severe crimes too, but I think stopping all criminal actions is impossible if some laws are not removed, which is bad for society.
