Do you believe in reincarnation or that it's a theory that has endured centuries across many cultures and religions?

I do believe in reincarnation and that we choose to do so in order to learn more and grow spiritually. The Soul evolves through challenges and lessons and we choose specific ones to perfect or to repeat in an incarnation.

Often people will reincarnate in the same family, so the Soul group stays close and can help one another with their challenges, that's why knowing and learning about our ancestors can unearth some traits that you also have.

I believe that consciousness gets recycled in a way. I don't believe in the traditional view of a soul getting reincarnated but rather that our consciousness doesn't become non-existent after death.

If I am right then people wouldn't be having left over memories from past lives.

No, I sure don't. All the available scientific evidence is that once the brain dies, we, or rather what makes us us, goes with it. In fact, the brain can be damaged in some manner, the patient is still alive, but his/her personality is very different. If it is ever proven that an immortal soul exists, I would be open to the notion of reincarnation. Until, then, however, it isn't a whole more than conjecture.

I'm in no position to know what is right. However, following the basic law of science which states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, I can't help but believe that something of us remains after we're dead, either through our consciousness or an energy field fixated somewhere. I cant endorse the concept of reincarnation unless I see an instance play out before my eyes. Like Buddha said, do not believe anything until you see it or until it agrees with your common sense. I have heard many stories of remembered instances from past lives, but it isn't enough to support the existence of souls. For what are souls really? To answer your question, we would first have to figure this out. Very existential questions, these.

I believe in reincarnation. I definitely feel that one of my past lives was in Ancient Egypt. I'd also like to think, even though I'm really not sure about this one, that I was from Atlantis as well because I find their way of life interesting (at least from the little that I've read about it). I'd like to get a book that is specifically about it though.

Reincarnation in my opinion is something that does exist, but for one to believe in it, a clear picture would have to be painted for many to draw their own conclusion. I myself, after embarking on a more spiritual path, agrees with what Hiraeth mentioned in regards to the basic laws of science and our consciousness. If a scientific route is taken, because man is made of matter, once deceased, bodies do decompose and disintegrate, but some form or another be it cells or ashes for example, will be disbursed somewhere back into the world and be attached to another particle or being. Would this not count as reincarnation? Also, if spiritual, discussion of past lives clearly validates the existence of reincarnation.

I do believe in reincarnation because I am of the opinion that our physical bodies are temporary however our spirits or souls, whichever term you prefer, are eternal. Being a student of metaphysics further cemented my belief of this opinion. I believe once our physical body dies our spirit immediately bonds back to it's natural state of being with the universe. At some point in time that spirit comes back in another physical body to experience life as we know it and this process repeats itself. All non physical spirits go through this process and by doing so all of us contribute to the expansion of the universe.

I too believe in reincarnation.I read few religions don't believe in this but this one shouldn't be associated with religion because reincarnation is a process of evolution of the soul from birth after birth.

I definitely believe in reincarnation. I can remember enough of my past life to know I was reincarnated. I find it hard to believe that we live this life then we're done. I was raised on that belief, but it never quite sat right with me. Personal discovery has brought up more belief in reincarnation, so there's no way I can dismiss it as unreal to myself at this point.

Being a very spiritual person myself and an avid reader of holy scriptures ("Vedas" as known in my country), I have always believed in reincarnation. Whatever I have read about it, I could only draw one conclusion that the reincarnation happens according to ones will, desires and work in current life. One of the main message given in Holy 'Bhagavadgeeta' is states that it is humans who decide (not literally) where we want to be in our next life, whether to stay on earth in whatever lifeforms or rise to an higher dimension and path which leads to him.

Here is the truth. There is no such thing as reincarnation. It is a theory that has survived in some pagan religions and the Bible disproves that. One question people always want the answer to is "Where do we go after we die?" The answer is in Ecclesiastes chapter 9 verse 4-12.

Verse 5 is very interesting and it goes as this: "...for the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten." We as human beings know for certain that one day we shall die. It happens to us all no matter who you are. There is no immortality serum you can take to stay alive forever, so the movie Tuck Everlasting is false.

Verse 6: "...also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun." They dead cannot harm the living, they cannot protect the living, they cannot reveal the future or tell you of the past. They cannot love you, hate you or envy you. Their time is done under the sun. There is no coming back to Earth to partake of anything of the living.

Verse 10: "...Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest." The dead are not wise, they don't do any work and they don't have any knowledge of what's going in the realm of the living. They cannot foretell the future, that's why the Bible warns us to stay away from necromancers, mediums, witches, fortune tellers and sorcerers. Those people lie and say they talk to the dead and can foretell the future when in reality they are talking to demons who are "familiar spirits" because that person associates with them on a constant basis. Stay away from these people they practice nothing but evil and deception. (Deuteronomy ch. 18 v. 9-12) (Leviticus ch. 20 v. 6) (Galatians ch. 5 v. 20-21)

The book of Revelation also speaks of what happens after we die. Chapter 2o, verse 11-14 describe the Great White Throne Judgment. Verse 12 is very interesting and it goes like so: "....and I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. This verse is illustrating to us that after we die we will be judged according to every thing we did, said or thought. We will have to give a full account of our lives to Jesus Christ, who is our judge (Romans ch. 14 v. 10-12). What is written in those books will either condemn us or give eternal rest.

So to sum up what happens after we die; first the dead have no part in what happens under the sun, they cannot interfere or help the living in any way, they cannot foretell the future, they do not have knowledge or wisdom and they do not do any work. You learned to stay away from sorcerers, witches, fortune tellers, mediums, soothsayers and necromancers. They speak to and hear evil spirits, not grandma Agnes. Also you learned that when you die you will give a full account of your life, you will be judged by Jesus Christ and the works of your life will either condemn you to hell or enable you to rest in eternal paradise. I hope this helps.

I believe in reincarnation, or at least I have it high up on my list of possibilities. I have heard too many confirmed stories about reincarnated children giving verifiable accounts of their past lives. No-one really knows the truth and so the truth could be anything. I, however, choose to go with reincarnation as it is coherent with my other beliefs, For example, I don't believe human souls begin to exist at conception. I think they have always existed as part of the All. I know, it is not an unquestionable line of thought, but each one of us will have their own opinion.

    Well, I believe in reincarnation!

However, I do not have any theory or suggestion to support the thoughts, but many of my questions remain unanswered if I deny the existence of reincarnation.

There are some issues which are beyond people’s imagination, and could not be proven by scientific formula. Beliefs, views, opinions are the base of those thoughts. The more you try to knot the loose ends, the more they get tangled.

There might something be above our five senses, which we only could realize once the soul is detached from this mortal body.

I don't believe in reincarnation because I believe in God Almighty and all His Divine words which be found in the Bible. The meaning of Reincarnation is the religious or philosophical concept that the soul or spirit, after biological death, can begin a new life in a new body. This doctrine is a central tenet of the Hindu religion.

I am a Catholic since birth and I am thought of the right doctrine of Catholic. It is well stated in our Creed from 8th to 12th lines "I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the Communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the Resurrection of the body and Life everlasting, Amen."

I have read the book Many Lives Many Masters by Dr. Brian Weiss on reincarnation. He has mentioned his personal experiences that he came across about his daughter.

According to the book every person we meet in this birth is for a reason. Because we enter the world with debts from our past life and so every person we meet is because there is something we owe them. I personally believe in the theory of reincarnation.

I not only believe in the rebirth of the spirit, I know it as a fact.

A Spirit can be described as an entity which is non-physical, immortal and spiritual part of a person. A soul can refer to both the immaterial and material aspects of human existence. Soul in its basic sense can be termed as the “life” force. Both are separable from the body at death. The soul is the essence of human existence. The spirit is the immaterial part of a human that connects with God.

The existence of the Spirit & the soul is one of the vital questions of life. Since scientists look at every subject through a materialistic lens, they tend to judge the issue of the spirit & soul in a materialistic context and reach a wrong conclusion. Should we wait for the scientific community to certify the existence of Soul & spirit or judge the issue based our own instinct and knowledge?

There were genuine efforts by few to prove scientifically the existence of the spirit and the “spirit world” through centuries but most of them ended in failure except one, the “Scole Group”

...... The Scole Group embarked on a five-year experiment using a revolutionary kind of ‘energy' to produce tangible objects from the spirit world. The term ‘tangible objects’ means things recognizable to our senses or our instruments – visible manifestations, lights, sounds, touches, tastes, and smells. Some of the tangible objects took the form of messages transmitted onto photographic film, audio-tape, and videotape.

The results of the Scole Experiments included Paranormal Evidence in the form of photographic images, audio recordings, and video streams.

The Scole Group produced not just one tangible object ( objects mysterious sent from the Spirit world) but such a huge number and variety that scientists had to sit up and take notice.

The Scole Group exhibited this extraordinary phenomenon whereby they could communicate with the spirit world under controlled atmosphere and observed by eminent scientists. The experiment was exhibited almost all over the world to selected observers.

I recommend that you study the experiments done by this group and get astonished at every step. The “Scole Experiment” produced spectacular results that are beyond our comprehension. They conclusively proved the existence of spirit and the spirit world. You may start your journey with this video (). You may visit the official website of Scole Group https://www.thescoleexperiment.com/ for more information.

We Homo-sapiens are as mysterious as the universe we live in.

This in reply to the comment by Ken Brace. I believe that people do carry their spirit to their spirit world after death. They also sometimes carry their experience and knowledge of their past life to their present life. These category of people are not many but do exist and they are often called as Prodigy. We find a two-year-old playing Piano like an expert without any training. I know of a boy who passed his medical examination and became a doctor at the age of 12. Some argued that they have a superior IQ which has been proved wrong by science.

Consider the issue of Gender identity that is determined by someone’s internal, personal sense of being a man or a woman or the physical self. How is it that a person with a male body feels internally that he is in a wrong body of a female. How does this happen? My thoughts say that in such cases (plenty) it is nothing but wrong selection of a body by the spirit during rebirth (Reincarnation)

I also believe in reincarnation. I have seen many things in my life that are unexplainable. Scientifics are stuck in their minds and can not give a good explanation. There a so many proofs found in the world without a good explanation from science. I think they science knows a lot but do not spread that in the world to prevent chaos. So many things in the history are now been rewritten and is false.
