Any actual philosophers here?

I was so excited to discover that The Forum Wheel had a philosophy subforum! Sadly, it seems that most people are posting threads about politics and relationships here rather than actual philosophical discussions.

Is there anyone out there actually interested in discussing philosophy for philosophy's sake? Is no one reading Descartes, Aristotle, Plato anymore? Is the current education system presenting philosophy in such a way that it's killing off interest in this purest of studies?
