What's the best framework for building a web based service/application fast for showing website metrics, e.g. GA, Piwik, campaign info, backlinks (associations, links, nofollow/dofollow), social media reputation and so on, like a dashboard. (the functionalities as such are not that interesting, it's more how the things are to be presented on the page and also basic parts such as user management etc).

It should be modular/plugin and the output of each such functionality should be displayed using widgets, ie something to place, delete or re-order on the page. The whole screen should be able to be used, well, apart from a menu either at the top or at the left side.

User management incl setting flags for what modules/widgets is accessible for each user should be, if possible, a part of the framework, If there are existing modules/plugins for dealing with payments, e.g. Paypal, then this is a good thing (less things for the developers to develop) as well as localizations etc.

The framework/technology/platform should be widely spread and be able to handle quite a lot of interactive users. "A lot" probably means everything up to 10000.

I am grateful for opinions based on experience and knowledge, please no "religions". [IMG]

What framework/technology/platform and why? Pros and cons.

    Thanks!
