Third world countries generally lag behind economically. Most of their resources are unexploited and therefore most of the people are jobless. Given the situation, most of them try to be self-employed.

Businesses such as automated dispensers (e.g candy) are not yet rampant in these countries, due to the insecurity associated with them, yet this can be an ideal business if strategically placed. People in developing countries need to learn from the developed world what can be viable in their own places.

Their are a lot of business ideas which can help build a nation but I believe the most prompting ideas differ from the country in question and it's level of development.

Where I come from, agriculture is the most important thing right now. Being an under developed country with high population, their is a tendency that in years to come, people will starve. This has made majority to result in agriculture and with the support from the present Government, I believe it has gone a long way to keep us on our fit.

Entrepreneurial skills has helped build our nation, because of high unemployment due to high population, the youths have resulted to learning new skills and doing what they know how to do best. A lot have gone into fashion designing, confectionery, makeup artist, building of machines, making foot wears and so on. This have brought revenue and help save our country.

Many people would rather avoid investing in third world countries with the belief that their investments are not secure, but smart investors are aware of the huge investment potential of developing countries.
Most developing countries are blessed with a lot of natural resources but unfortunately lack a lot of things. If you are a smart entrepreneur living in a third world country looking to invest in developing nations, here is a list of innovative small business ideas you can take advantage of.
*One major thing that developing countries lack is constant power supply as a result citizens learn to rely on alternative sources of energy. You can makea lot of money by supplying alternative sources of energy.
*Another smart business idea is the manufacturing of products that reduce consumption of fuel. You would make good money if you can come up with a product that is highly effective.
*Like I said earlier, developing countries are blessed with a lot of natural resources and also luck a lot of things. Starting an importation and exportation business in a developing country is a very smart idea. You can import hot selling products like computers, phones and clothes while you export agricultural produce that are abundantly available and in high demand by developed countries.

In developing countries, such business ideas are most successful where a little finance is required to start and run a business. Food stalls are one of such businesses that can be started and run with very short finance and thus are very popular businesses in the developing countries.
