I found out I have scoliosis when I was only 12 years old. My back started hurting and I couldn't sit straight. We immediately went to a doctor to have it checked. 2 years after, I had my surgery. I have Harrington rods inserted on my back. It's been 16 years already and I started having acute pain on my back now.

I've read somewhere that Harrington rods are outdated, they only used it in the 80s. It also says there that those who have Harrington rods would experience severe pain as they grow older, to the point that they could barely move.

When did you have your surgery? Is it also Harrington rod insertion? Are you experiencing pain now?
