Do you think YouTube can be a valid career?

YouTube seems to have been growing at a fast and steady pace for a very long time now. Because of this, a lot of people seem to have jumped into the platform to try and start a career of their own. Do you think making an actual career out of YouTube is possible?

I see a lot of people complaining about how making videos isn't a real job or how it isn't fair that some YouTubers earn so much money in relation to what they do. Speaking for myself, I don't think this is a fair statement. It's easy to look at the videos people make and forget what goes on behind the scenes. Most YouTubers I follow have talked about how much time goes into editing their videos and how they can barely ever catch a break. Keeping this in mind, I really do think YouTube can be a valid career choice.
