Free weight or Body weight execise?

    I started lifting when I was in college at the age of 16. I've always though that free weights exercises are much better in building muscles and strength. It worked for me though my cardio is not that good that time. I recently learned Calisthenics and it's a bit hard to start with this than free weights in the gym. The advantage is that Calisthenics can be performed anywhere with a bar where you can lift or push your body to do some workouts. It requires your whole body to function already unlike in free weights, you can focus on specific muscle. Which one do you do?
