How many hours I sleep and how many hours I need are two very different things! I definitely function best with a solid 8 hours, especially if I need to get through school, sports meets, homework, studying, and chores all in one day. However, its hard to make time for sleep. I put off my actual responsibilities, and by the time I actually get them done I overcompensate by spending far too much time catching up on much needed tv binges and 4 hour phone calls with friends. Work reluctantly and play way too hard. At least that's how the saying goes for me! The reality of my life is I'm usually running off of a measly 5-6 hours of sleep, and catching up by sleeping in until noon on the weekends.
