Have you ever gotten lost in an unfamiliar place? Have you ever needed information that you had no idea where to get? And if so, did you ask someone for help? If not, try doing so next time you get into a different situation. Asking for help can save us time and energy.
Since people are willing to help and give information when they are asked politely, we should keep te following phrases in mind:

    • Excuse me, I would like to know if...
    • I'm sorry to bother you, but could you please help me....
    • May I ask whether...
    • I would appreciate if you could tell me (Where/When/Which/How)....
    • I was hoping you could help me...
Use these phrases in complete sentences. Pretend:

    1. that you are lost in a Spanish-speaking country and want to get back to the hotel where your family is staying
    2. that you are in a museum of art gallery, and need to know the title and creator of an particular painting.
