Is Ronaldo better than Messi?

In my take Cristiano is a massive loss. I have nothing but praise for the boy. He is easily the best player in the world. He is better than Kaka and better than Messi (My opinion) . He is streets ahead of them all.

"His contribution as a goal threat is unbelievable. His stats are incredible. Strikes at goal, attempts on goal, raids into the penalty box, headers. It is all there. Absolutely astounding."

He can score goals in every way it's possible to score goals.

If you could combine all the different types of attacking players - goal poachers, speedy wingers, target men, free-kick specialists, and so forth - you'd get Ronaldo.

 

Both players are talented in their own ways but if am to choose I will go for Messi he is a huge talent and the big difference between them is that Ronaldo needs a team to succeed while a team needs Messi to succeed.

Messi scores with higher frequency, assist at a higher rate, dribbles with greater regularity and has won a greater number of trophies, the most statistic that matters point to Messi superiority. messi is mentioned alongside Maradona and Pele while Ronaldo should be compared with the likes of Beckham, Suarez, Zidane and Neymar.

 

I have heard this question being raised on numerous occasions as I watched either a Real Madrid or a Barcelona game with my friends. This is my sincere opinion, I find Lionel Messi more skillful than Real's Christiano Ronaldo. My opinion is based on views of clips of both players as they did their thing in the field.

 

Well they both play different types of roles for their team so you can't really compare.

If you must though, Messi the better play maker and Ronaldo is the better scorer.

Ronaldo is better at a International level.

Ronaldo has also played on 2 different teams, both happening to be in different leagues.

Messi has been consistently good in what I consider the overall best league, but since Ronaldo entered he's been consistently good too besides this past season.

Overall? Kind of hard to say, I would rather have Ronaldo at a striker position over Messi but I would rather have Messi playing a CF role.

I think Messi would be best if you had a top notch finisher that he could play the ball too once he pulls in 2-3 defenders, but I would rather have Ronaldo if i had a good midfield that could consistently push the ball up and feed him in the center.

So like I said both play different roles so I don't think you can really compare, both are the best players at the position they play.

If it comes down to a final shot though, I would rather have CR7 taking that shot, but that's just me.

 

This is a subject that will bring a lot of controversy, since the population is divided on this question.

I am a big Real Madrid fan, since 2002, before Ronaldo came.I remember the ''real'' Ronaldo, Figo, Beckham, Hierro, Raul, Guti.Those were the days.

When it comes down to these two fantastic players, I like to tell people that Ronaldo is a product of hard work and dedication and that Messi is pure talent.

Ronaldo had to earn everything, while it seems like Messi is just ''born with the ball''.

Even though I like Real and, as well, Ronaldo I will give this one to Messi since he has proved better for a club than Ronaldo.He seems more of a team player.

The one thing that Messi needs is success with Argentina national team.Ronaldo has that with Portugal as they won the last EURO.

 

The debate on which of these players is better than the other has been brought up countless of times over the course of the past decade and you can make an argument for each of them, but there are rather a few vital and important differences that need to be pointed out in order to compare the two, in terms of pure talent Messi is without a doubt the most talented football player to ever play the game alongside maradona and pele, his ball movement, skills and decision making is nonparallel, as for Ronaldo, his athleticism, positioning and endurance allowed him to compete at the highest levels for so many years, but in my personal opinion and base don the past few years, Ronaldo has been far more clinical and vital for his team which can be easily seen in the champion's league as he has scored almost 50% of all Real Madrid's goals in the competition.

 

The both players are good. But age is already calling on the two of them. This year World Cup could be both last World Cup and both of them will want to win the altimate trophy.

Ronaldo is a better goal getter. Also Messi scores more free kicks more than Ronaldo in the recent time.

If Ronaldo wins the champion league again this year and he performs well at the World Cup then ronaldo will win the balloon the Or again this year.

I have heard this particular argument over and over again. If we will be factual and not sentimental about this, we should actually give it Messi.

It's rather unfortunate that the two of them are playing together in the same era, another individual may opine that the competition between them spurred them to dig deep and give more, that will be equally true.

Ronaldo is great but Messi is expectional, there is no doubt about this.

 

Both players are good, but when it comes to a point where I only have to pick one then Messi would be the obvious. Ronaldo puts more effort in playing unlike Messi. If you all saw Messi's goal in the UCL against Napoli, you would agree to this.
