Is the use of the internet a blessing or a curse?

There have been great things that came with the coming of technology such as us now being able to communicate in the easiest way possible via Twitter, Facebook and the rest of them. I mean it is no longer what we used to have back in those days with letters being delivered via post office to our loved ones which take days before getting to the destination.

However, there have been cases of the technology hurting us as the internet has made most of the kids spend their time chatting instead of doing the school work and reading their books. This is one reason that made me seize the mobile phone that I got for my first son since she could not focus on his studies.

What do you think of the internet, has it been a blessing or a curse to us?

 

Well, I think the answer to this question will always fluctuate between both the positives and negatives.

There are some scenarios where Internet really occurs like a blessing to humankind. For instance, back in the days, to know a person's whereabouts, one had to rely on letters or written communication. As we evolved, we got mobile phones, which would connect people, but with Internet, you can actually know the location of the person. This is particularly useful when there is a critical situation around due to some natural calamity.

While this is great, it comes with a cost. As you mentioned it right, with kids, overuse of Internet has raised some serious concerns right from the habit of reading to socializing and hence health. Increasing use of Internet with whatever possible media (phone or computer) leads to creating a gap between reality and the imaginary world.

There is not right or wrong answer to this question. For, we will have to acknowledge the advantages, at the same time, we will have to be vigilant about its abuse.

 

All great things must come with a certain cost. Which is why I think that the internet in general is a good thing. It all depends in how we use it. A lot of positive things can be accessed over the internet and personalities and intentions are the source of various disadvantages.

It is important to focus on all the things that can now be possible just by accessing the internet. While some may be negative, a lot of people get to reap the benefits day in day out.

 

The internet can either be a blessing or a curse depending on how you use it. If you are the kind of person that lacks the ability to exercise restraint, the internet will definitely be a curse to you. You'll find yourself fall victim to a number of addictive sites on the internet.

But if you are able to use the internet with moderation, it will help you achieve a lot of positive result. You'll be able to do a lot of things that will benefit your career, your social life, etc.

 

The internet , like all human concepts or constructions has a "good" side , so people can help each other and connect and a "bad" side ,so people can exploit and harm each other. In truth , these sides don't actually exist at all. Internet is just a platform in which humans apply their intentions , like all concepts ever. Physics can give you technology , but can destroy cities , medicine can give you the chance to live a better longer life , but can also be used against you in the way of biological weapons for example. Hell , you can use a hammer to create a house and in the next day you can kill someone with it.

I'd say that with the right education the majority of people can use the internet in the way is was meant to be from it's creators and connect the whole world (possible more of it one world? ) for the benefit of humanity. It's the people that need to evolve in terms of their intentions.

 

Internet without any doubt is one of the biggest blessing for mankind in the twenty first century. It has revolutionized every aspect of our life and brought about a very positive change in everything we do.

Internet has brought about a kind of level playing field across all the nations and across all the classes of the societies. Internet is used to execute the most difficult tasks and transactions by Governments, Big business houses, Banks and it is also equally used by a common man to pay his bills, order food , book tickets and do all sorts of daily chores.

Although Internet has been misused by some notorious persons and agencies to execute there misdemeanors, the percentage of such misuse is much less as compared to the positive contribution of Internet in our daily life.

 

Both...its a blessing when u use it to achieve better things..and its a cause when u use it for evil

 

I believe that the internet is both - A blessing AND a curse.

It's great to have an abundance of information at our fingertips. But with the lightning speed advancement of technology, such as handheld devices, we are living in a very distracted society.

No one takes the time to look eachother in the eye and have a meaningful, face to face conversation anymore. It's kind of sad to see how society has changed in such a short period of time.

 

Internet has both positive and negative sides but it depends on a person using it.Internet makes our everyday lives easier in just a fingertip.It makes us accesible to anything we want.From getting information to communicating to someone we love and far from us.But it contrast,Internet makes us far from a person near from us.Instead of communicating with them eye to eye,we focus on techonolgy in front of us.Internet is a bit addictive that we focus there and give lots of time using it.

 

Internet is one of the greatest blessings to mankind but sometimes even the greatest blessings can be the most bitter curse if you don't know how to handle properly.

Internet give us a lot of convenience and make our lives easier in so many ways. However, this great blessings becomes a curse for some because of lack of discipline.

There could be two sides of the coin for this matter. Internet will remain to be one of the most reliable tool to be able to go online in today’s generation. It has brought the future of mankind to a new level by just the used of internet. For instance, marketing researchers and companies worldwide depends upon internet to be able to deliver high quality products across the globe. Students, teachers and working individuals used internet for work-related stuff. There could be no doubt of its importance to mankind.


The cursed that may be brought about by this powerful tools depends upon the user’s hand. It can not be denied that technology has long made our work faster. While this is the case, some users used it for purpose that deviate to the basic purpose of internet. Many crime-related concern has been resurfacing caused by internet. One is identity theft, Cyber-bullying, scandals and many more. All of these happens because we forget to put limitation upon the proper used of internet.

 

It depends on how you use it because some of the people didn't know what is the true value of the internet why because internet its not just posting it helps us to know about the world and to what we didn't know I love to know more about PHP programming because it's so hard and there are so many errors as of today I quite program well and soon I will be professional on it and last thanks for all.
