I don't think so, since there are different types of meditation. Not all meditation style is fit for everyone. According to me, I use a method that makes me comfortable and what encourages me to practice which you might not like it. But it doesn't mean it's wrong. Meditation is important in that it reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, one can sleep better, enhances the mood and also healthier aging process. There are so many forms of meditation that if one isn't working or isn't comfortable for you, just try a new one.
