Considering lot of project these days are making use of JavaScript, do you think is it worth to learn JavaScript for serious work? What I have noticed is that some of the frameworks like Meteor, Angular are in demand. However I am not much sure of the idea of making regular job out of it. Do you think learning JavaScript has any benefit? Another question, where you prefer to learn JavaScript?

I learned Javascript when I was in Grade 4. It was really useful. But now we have CoffeeScript, Google Dart and many new programming languages that get compiled into Javascript. Their syntax look much better than Javascript. Also, they are easier to learn. Therefore, I don't think learning Javascript would bring any benefits unless you want to dig deeper into client side scripting.
