Being a mechanic is more difficult than being a medical doctor. Different car brands from different countries have different designs which a mechanic has to know about, plus cars evolve super fast. Humans, on the other hand, have the same design, and over the career of a doctor, there's sure to be no noticeable change in the design. In fact a veterinary doctor can make the jump to human medicine in a snap. Just pass out at a party and if the hottest girl in the room can't resuscitate you by CPR your vet friend can dissect you and patch up your liver pretty well with dog anesthesia.

But the most difficult profession is that of a goldsmith. Differentiating between ore and rock and extracting gold from ore is no joke. Moreover, when looking for ore the deeper you go the hotter it becomes until you spot reef.

Now imagine a goldsmith with a lump of gold just enough to make one ring. The village vet and the village mechanic both want the ring to go propose to the same girl. Who should he give it to? I suggest he gives it to the mechanic because the mechanic, unlike the vet, has tools that can turn the lump into a ring so it'll save him valuable time. But a wise goldsmith would feign the existence of this pandemic and sit on the lump to propose to the girl himself. After all when a girl expects to be proposed to she will say yes to anyone maybe after a hot slap, but biological clock always beats ego.
