This summer, I had the opportunity to go to the National Art Museum in Washington, DC. To say it was overwhelming would be an understatement. I never imagined seeing works of people such as Picasso, DaVinci, and so many others was amazing. I think probably even more amazing was the fact it was all totally free to see.

In addition to the amazing art we saw on display, the architecture of the buildings was in and of itself something to admire. If you ever get the chance while in Washington, DC to see the National Art Museum, you should go. Be sure to leave lots of time and to have good walking shoes on when you visit. Most importantly, don't worry if you don't know much about art. There are guides in most every room as well as an audio tour. You will learn so much. Pick a rainy day and spend it there on your visit.
