I had just finished watching Reign when I came across Outlander. I had always been a fan of period drama and sure, most of the shows in this genre include gory, cringe-worthy details like torture and killings. However, Outlander took this to a whole new level.

First, there were mixed feelings about the good guy / bad guy thing between Jack Black Randall and Frank Randall, then the writers took it to a whole new level when the current husband was being psychologically and sexually tortured by the first husband look-alike.

Secondly, there's the child that was conceived in 1748 but born in 1948 and she flirts (unknowingly, of course) with her real cousin's great-great-great grandson. Same guy also met his great-great-great grandmother in 1968 before she traveled through time to the 18th century.

It's just so confusing but I just can't stop watching.
