Should kids be allowed to have access to the internet?

Whether or not to have you children having access to the internet has been an issue that has remained unsolved for year. Is it good? Is it right? I personally am not sure about which way to go regarding this matter, but well let’s take a look at the disadvantages: the internet might expose these kids to pornographic films or even cyber bullying. The kids might not be able to know how to respond to such and they end up with no good moral values.

But on the brighter side, they are exposed to new technology early in their life making it easy for them to adapt and to know how to maximize the opportunity by learning new stuff, which might help them eventually. So what’s your take on this issue?
