Solar energy is for the sun. Can clouds generate energy in future technology?

    The sun is invented to make many equipments such as solar lamps, solar batteries, solar phones and many others. The wind also.Do you think may be in the future ,could clouds be used to form some energy?

    Potentially. Not from the clouds themselves but through their movement through the atmosphere but building and developing the technology to do so would be hard and might not be effective enough. We should just go for thorium reactors.

    There is a Russian plan for a HydroElectric Station. It is based on the use of a sort of small airship to fly in the sky while keeping it tied to a structure placed on the ground; once in flight, the airship will collect moisture from the clouds and convey it to the ground, where a hydroelectric turbine will use it to produce electricity and clean water.
