TVs are very important in the home, market and in industries. They play a huge role in informing people about what is happening around them, and in the world. Apart from that, Televisions are used for entertaining purposes. They are used to air people's favourite games and sports, animations and all sorts of stuff that can make a human being entertained. We all have witnessed a situation whereby people spend most of their time watching their favourite soccer team playing, even up to the late hours of the night.
On the contrary, however, there has always been a debate on whether a TV can be associated with some health issues. The answer is yes. Addiction to the TV, just like drugs, is a serious psychological health condition that should be addressed immediately. Some people spend too much of their time watching the television, and fail to go out and perform their daily duties. School going children, on the other hand, become absent in school in the name of watching TV. Psychologists should come in and address such issues, as soon as possible.
Also, a TV, being an electronic device, may produce radiations that can harm human Biological systems. The effects of such radiations are worse when the exposure time is long, and the distance away from the electronic device is short. Due to too much staring on the screen, eye strain may also take place, and also muscle aches due to too much sitting at the same place.

I agree with you on this. The mass production and commercialisation of TV's makes it accessible to the majority of the population and as such, all the points you touched on above come into play.
For the sake of clarity, scientific studies have shown that addiction to tv is a result of spiking the release of the dopamine hormone. This possibly leads to severe side effects among which, dependency and loss in cognitive function induce a greater impact.

I can absolutely agree with you on this topic. I love to watch television but I have so many hours a day on when I am going to watch television to reduce the strain on my eyes. I can tell when I have watched too much television because I get really bad headaches and pain in my eyes that want go away right off. I would highly recommend reducing as much time as possible in front of the television even for the kids. I think scheduling time for the television throughout the day will help when health comes to concern.
