What can you say about fake news spreading on the internet?

Nowadays, many people on the internet was victimized by a fake news. The reason is many people easily believed a news they read on the internet that it is true without even checking it if the information was true. They share the false information because they thought it was true about the information, but when the real news come out many people becomes frustrated about the fake news that they get before they knew the real information about it.

What can you say about fake news? What ways can we do to avoid reading a fake news on the internet? The information we will get will be very helpful.

 

Fake news is really dangerous. It mislead on what was really happening and what is true. It might also affect certain people or personality and may lead to trouble. Let says if a Leader of a country was hit by fake news and spreed of the world it will affect not just the leader but also its country. Fake news hits everyone known or unknown people. Even the current Pope Francis was hit by fake news on the holly week 2018. that would tell that even fake news choose no one. Its very Destructive and Scary. Its easily spreed and many people are easily tricked and believe. So I was hoping that people should be responsible in their every action. (^_^)

 

Well, Fake News is a very big problem that is prevalent not only on the internet but also on the mainstream media. In the case of social media, the news can spread very faster and show its impact in a very less span of time. A complete lunatic or a weirdo can post some random story, people can believe this story and spread it on the net. I think its very necessary to verify a news before sharing it online.

There have been instances in my country where a false story was used to instigate violence amongst two communities which lead to widespread unrest and chaos. Often rumor mongering and fake news can have a very negative impact on society. Fake news is not only prevalent in Social Media but this phenomenon has also spread its tentacles in the Mainstream Media. There are often unsubstantiated and motivated stories which are aired on different News channels just in order to increase the number of viewers. The reporting has become biased and one-sided these days.

I think that the solution to this problem is definitely not the involvement of governments to regulate the media, but it has to be self-regulation. Everyone on the Social Media should try and desist from spreading unverified and unsubstantiated stories. A joint effort by the online community can help in tackling this problem immediately

 

Fake news has always been there and it all stems from lying. Only over the recent years has it began to become such a big unfortunate trend for the youth to follow and give life to. Let's hope that in the not so distant future that one day we will be able to live in a society that focuses more on truth, respect, love, and justice.
