When Lazarus died,Jesus said that he was in a "deep sleep".He didn't say that Lazarus was in heaven or was suffering in hell or being reborn as another human or animal. This shows that when someone dies he/ she can be compared with someone in a deep sleep and just as Jesus awoke Lazarus from the " deep sleep" those who have died will remain in the graveyards until Jesus returns where they will be resurrected as shown in the book of - John 5:28,29. what is your opinion?

My opinion is about the same. It says on Matthew 25:31-46 that “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left."

When a person dies, he will not proceed immediately to heaven or hell. He/she will be in "deep sleep" until Judgement comes. Even Mary, mother of Jesus, has received no judgement yet; Mary is still in a state of "deep sleep".

Our bodies will decay but our souls will wait. This is what happens when we die.

We will be in a state of peace. The bible says, “for the living know that they will die; but the dead know nothing… their love, their hatred, and their envy have now perished” Ecclesiastes 9:5
When god made man, he gave him body made from the earth (dust, soil) and he gave him a soal. When we die the body returns to the earth and the soal returns to god.

This is one of the unsolved questions in the world as no one has ever know what exactly happens before and after death. From this perspective, the question can only be answered from a belief and religion point of view since there are no exact facts. Different religions answer this question differently, where some teach that good people go to Heaven while the bad ones go to hell. Other religions teach that after death, one turns to a spirit and lives among the deceased family members. To other religions, one is judged and returns to life on earth but in a different body. It is from this that one can conclusively say that it all depends on a person's belief and religion of what happens after death.

I believe once we die, our bodies are laid to rest but our souls go to Heaven. I truly believe that Heaven is what you will make of it. If you see Heaven as a beautiful land where people are not suffering and everyone is kind, this is what it will be. I imagine in my head Heaven to be a place full of light. Waterfalls are all over the place with lots of fresh flowers. People are smiling and laughing and everyone is happy to be there. It smells like lilacs to me. Vibrant colors fill the place no matter where you turn.

I believe that once you die, God will be waiting at the gates of Heaven to welcome you to your forever home.

What happens after death? there is no exact answer for this because every one of us has different opinions depending on their religious beliefs and by hearing other peoples experiences or self experiences. One need to ask this question what happens when you sleep? sometimes in deep sleep we don't even hear a big noise next to us so where is this man then? he is sleeping. In sleep some of the body sensory organs take rest so where are they going to? for me it is a mystery that science yet to find out.

The truth is that NOBODY knows. Science and Religion have both tried to answer the question but obviously it is impossible to have conclusive proof.
Maybe we should spend less time thinking about what happens when we die and spend more time on living a good life. Surely living life to its fullest makes more sense than worrying about something we have no control over.

I find few contributors have taken the question in religious perspective, some preferred to depend on their belief and others are inclined towards science. I want to avoid all the three prospective and offer a practical and proven scientific observation.

The most common contention is “We do not know” and beg to differ. I want to cite the phenomenon of Near Death Experience (NDE) -

What happens after death may not be exactly known to us but what is known is that several people talk about their experience while they were close to death. People who had a near-death experience, reports vivid and detailed memories, popularly and appropriately named Near Death Experience. Those few, who have stood on the brink of clinical death and came back with the experience of dying says the short journey is mostly accompanied by feelings of peace, love, bright lights, and a sense of disassociation from the body. Minor description and details may differ but the overall substance of the experience does not change much.

The NDE stories revolve around the sensation of floating up, looking down to see one’s physical self, traveling through a tunnel of white light and reaching an otherworldly realm to meet spiritual entities, and encountering dead friends and relatives. They experienced a connection to all creation and felt an abundance of love. The experience ends on being sent back into one’s own body.

The most astonishing case was when in the year 2006 Mrs. Anita Moorjani in a Hong Kong hospital suffering from terminal cancer died clinically and came back to life with no trace of cancer in her body. This incident gave credence to the stories of near death experience told by a large number of people all over the world.(check her story at - )

We are not completely ignorant about “what happens after death”. I will next submit a somewhat solid proof to answer this enigma, partially if not completely.

Death is a harsh reality. We all fear the death of our loved ones. This question always used to come in my mind , what happens to a person after he dies . I got the answer when I read about the teachings of Buddha

According to the teachings of Buddha whenever a human being dies he immediately takes rebirth. Therefore the state of our mind at the last moment of our life is very crucial. If our mind is peaceful and tranquil at this last moment , we get a birth at higher planes of existence. Until we become masters of our mind we continue to flow in this unending cycle of life and death.

Death is enevitable and ever since a long time , it created gloominess allover the whole earth. So what happens when one dies ,perhaps he is rejoicing in heaven or hell while us left on earth ,weep and wail for him. However, it is only when Jesus Christ, rose Lazarus from the dead so that means he brought him to life. But why can't be stopped forever if everything is possible to God?

I believe they either go to heaven or hell. People who have survived clinical death have reported a range of feelings, such as a sleep-like nothingness, a peaceful floating sensation in the sky or in a tranquil scenery like a garden, a bright light or a tunnel heading toward a bright light, seeing and speaking with loved ones who had passed away, as well as out-of-body experiences where they could see what was happening in the room where they were pronounced clinically dead. What do all these sensations have in common?

They are all sensations of freedom from the corporeal body. In near-death experiences, the corporeal body is no longer a disturbance. People feel as if they belong to something other than what they identified as their body. The mind continues working and processing corporeal information, albeit differently. Near-death experiences express a boundary between our corporeal life and its death. It is a boundary where we end our contact with information we received through our body, mind and corporeal senses.

according to my believes after death God will give us a new life in the grave we will be answer of some questions if we that will be about our past life if we answer correctly then we will be reward and if we give wrong answers then we will be punished
the first question will be that who is Your Lord
second is that what is your religion
third is that what are says about Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H)
after that there will be a day when we will be again alive and all humans will gather in front of God and that day is called the day of judgment and at that day we will be answer our whole passing life
