What Holiday Destination Did You Find Most Disappointing?

When I turned 40, many years ago, I decided to tick off something from my bucket list and chose to visit a rainforest. I went to Tobago in the Caribbean and ended up being sadly disappointed with my holiday (which cost a fortune!). For a start, there were no animals or reptiles to see, only birds, which got pretty boring after a few hours. Plus, the hotel was in the middle of nowhere, so there was nothing to see in the immediate area. Nowadays, of course, there is so much more information available to research destinations in advance.
