What is a sport that is unique to your country?

Australian or Aussie rules is a sport played by two teams of eighteen players on an oval-shaped field often a modified cricket ground. It is played in 15 minute quaters, and can have an overtime play if the score is a draw and the end of fulltime.
Points are scored by kicking an oval shaped ball (similar in size to a rugby league football between the goal posts (worth six points) or behind posts (worth one point).
While its beginnings were in the State of Victoria, the national league or Australian Football League (AFL) boasts teams from almost every state in Australia.
Only recently, we have oincluded a Womens league which has most game televised as well, while it is only new, the womens league is starting to gain quite a following.
We are also fortunate that it is similar to the Irelands Gaelic football, so with a hybrid of the two sports, International football is played by Australian and Irish players annually.
