There are many operating systems and each of us uses different operating systems. However, the question is which one is the best? Which one should we use? This question is hard as each operating system has its own advantages depending on the area you are using it for. For example, many say that Linux is the best operating system for programming. Which one is the best in your opinion?

Of course, as you already stated, every operating system has its own uses, but I think that Ubuntu, a version of Linux, is the best due to its versatility. Ubuntu is perfect for programmers, evident in the number of Linux servers run on Ubuntu, it has easy operating systems associated with it, such as certain versions of Puppy Linux, and its great for hackers as it has the very famed Kali Linux running on its code.

It really depends on what you are going to use your computer for. If you want your computer to have good security and a clean look then MacOS would be best. If you want a computer that is for gaming or everyday use then go for windows. If you are using your computer for coding then Linux will be good. I prefer Windows because it is good for everything. It is compatible with a lot of apps and software. It also has really high security which is good for a every day work/gaming computer.

Operating systems make it easy to interact with your PC. With many options, sometimes you can get confused about which one to choose. I would say that it all comes down to personal preference and working environment. There will be times when Windows would be ideal and not Mac OS. The same goes for other types of operating system. If you are a newbie, you should find Windows being user friendly. Those who are into open source and technical aspects of operating systems, then the Linux based OS would be perfect.

I agree with sammhung's statement here. It really does depend on how you are going to use your computer. May I also add that Linux also has good security, since hackers mostly strike Windows systems. If you can adjust with coding stuff here and there, Linux can be a good substitute from the 'mainstream' OS.

Mac OS is good, if and only if, your unit is a Macbook in the first place. Hackintosh (computers not really designed for Macbook but was given the Mac OS) can have issues with drivers, hardware, etc. It is also not true that Mac OS do not have viruses. Just like Windows, it also has viruses lying around online if you're not careful with how you use your computer.

Windows has a bad reputation for having so many viruses, because it is the most popular OS out there. No wonder hackers make viruses for Windows. The good thing about Windows being the most popular is that there are many programs and games available for the system. If you're a gamer, it is a no-brainer to use Windows instead.

If your computer is powerful and you don't want a headache, Windows or Mac are the best. Thousands of software are available for every purpose. Linux gives you nothing at first, but it doesn't limit you, if you don't like something in an application or the OS itself you just change it. basically, you have with Windows and Mac a finite number of people inside a company working on a product, and with Linux an infinite number of people all a round the world working on something they really care about.

After trying The Big 3 operating systems (Windows, MacOS, and several Linux distributions) I can personally say that my favorite is the Linux based OS, Ubuntu. I have a lower-end computer and I dual-boot Windows 10 and Ubuntu 18.04. Using the same application on Ubuntu instead of Windows makes it so much faster, at least in my experience. This has made me really contemplate whether I should switch completely to Ubuntu or whether I should just play it say and stay dual-booted with Windows 10.

There are a lot of Operating Systems now a days, these are for Personal Computers (Laptops and desktops) are Windows, MacOS and Linux. And for mobile OS we have Android, IOS, blackberry etc. As far as the concern of what is the best Operating System. Well it depends on what is your main purpose or the kind of tasks and projects you want accomplish. Windows is by far the most flexible and can handle and transfer files to any devices due to it's cross platform functionality. While MacOS is by far the best as well for intensive graphics and task that renders heavy graphics such as video production (e.g., video editting) and photo editting. It's all up to how and what task or project you want to do with you Computer in determining what is the best operating system.

Depend on preference really, most people will use Windows for it's functionality, support and familiarity, however many people such as programmers, might opt for Linux, like Ubuntu or Arch, Many graphical designers might use MacOS for its reliability and support for intensive graphics but it can take a lot of work to get MacOS running on a normal machine and also it might not be supported, so if you need or want to use MacOS, just buy a Mac...
So really, there isn't one Operating System that is the 'Best', it really just depends on peoples preferences and needs from an Operating System.

I feel like Windows has much more things to do with it. I'm not a specialist buy I always liked Windows.
But in the end there is no "best" operating system, people have different tastes regarding how they would like to work on a PC.
