I believe in the upcoming edition of the Russian World Cup the 2014 champions Germany are still the team to beat.

Joachim Loew's current squad has got a wealth of experience with previous world cup winners such as Mesut Ozil, Jerome Boateng, Julian Draxler and Manuel Nuer. The German team also has got a lot of experience playing in the world cup, qualifying for the semifinals in their previous three outings.

During the confederations cup last year, Joachim Loew fielded a particularly younger side and many critics questioned his decision but they went on to win the tournament. This shows the tenacity and zeal this team has.

Germany is also one of the few countries along side Brazil, Spain and Belgium that have a large pool of talented football players to select their starting 23.

I am smiling already, you are right @Gabbz95

When I saw the title of the thread, the very first team I thought of was Germany. They have a lot of things going well for them, consistency of the coaching crew, a talented pool of players, a young squad, bragging rights etc.

I agree that the World Cup can be unpredictable, but if were are to choose favorites based on physical factors, then it'd most likely be Germany.
