I am a boy, and I have to agree that some girls are smarter than boys. Boys can be lazy, with work, education etc.

    What do you think?

Girls are absolutely smarter than boys. Girls are more mature. Girls work doubly hard to get what they want, but we work smarter than boys. We know which steps to bypass and which ones definitely need to get done. We get it done.

@mykelrhievenz Your opinion is right. But, boys are always clever. Why because, like you said, they are lazy. But that's what makes a person to invent something. Just think about it, Why do we need a remote to change channels, if we aren't lazy enough to change channel by pressing the buttons provided on the TV.

Girls are patient, mature and I admire them as they are the creators of new life on this Earth. But, when it comes to smartness, boys are always at top of list.

I think that it really depends on the job that you put either girls or boys. There have been recent studies showing that girls are actually better at multitasking so think of any field with high demanding multitasking environments like the medical and health professions. Jobs however that require deep focus are better in the hands of capable men, just think about any aircraft pilot or being a taxi driver. While there are talented people that can perform as well as anyone from the opposite sex, the norm is pretty much this: boys can focus longer and girls can multitask much better.

i think u put the questio in a wrong basis. Being smart or not is irrelevant in terms of other skills such as organising or multitasking. One can be very good at a specific job while beeing a diagnosed cretin, and never in any case have i seen smartness being sex-related. The fields sexes differ are surely associated by smartness, but smartness itself is not part of them.

Smartness has nothing to do with gender. Both genders are smarter in their own spheres. Smartness is basically correlated to our genes and upbringing irrespective of gender. From the beginning of the time, genders had specialised tasks in society so it makes sense for each gender to have evolved to be better at certain things than the other.

A person is smart – irrespective of his/her gender, I feel so. We can find irresponsible and lazy people among both girls and boys and I would like to say, it’s not gender specific. Today’s kids are really smart than a generation ago. Though girls are highly emotional comparing boys, they have more patience and take more time in taking decisions of life. If it is combined with the smartness and high energy frequency of boys, they can conquer more heights. So, what I feel is, like two sides of a single coin, let us see these two sexes as just two faces of a single entity and combine the strengths and positives of both to get better results and achievements.

I find it a little odd and ironic that humans are the ones that surfaced the concept of intelligence. It would seem to me, the more intelligent a person projects themselves to have, the less human they become. And the smartest human has to be human of course. Intelligence is grown out of the nature of situations, like a spore that uses it's surroundings and structure to plant itself. Or the man that uses a sail instead of rowing the boat. It is indeed magic, not brain power.

I'm totally agree with you on that one. Frequently if the girls quantity is more than the boys in a top level class, the girls say they are smarter than the boys. I think that's wrong. They maybe are sitting in the first class but who knows when they finished studying they somewhat feel like they don't have anything to do with their lives? This is what I think I hate the most about girls in schools.

How is smartness and cleverness different from each other. This is because girls are smarter than boys. And boys are clever than girls. Is there a sense in these two premises? I don't think there is a disparity among girls and boys when it comes to ability and skillfulness. For me, both of them are the same. They only differ from the way they have been brought up by their respective parents.

I think "smartness" has nothing to do with genres. A Man neurosurgeon and a woman neurosurgeon will probably have the same skills. Maybe our society made us thing that there are skills that women have that mens don't. I dont think that only a portion of cromossome (Women are XX and man are XY, Y is smaller than X) would make their (women) "smartness", "cleverness" or "QI" be different from us (mens). Maybe I'm wrong. Can someone search some scientific article and post it here?

I've been brought up to believe that girls are naturally smarter and more mature than boys, and I have to say, a lot of experiences I've had with the people in my life have led me to strengthen that belief. Plus, I'm a girl too, so...

I think that intelligence or 'smartness' has got nothing to do with gender. Smartness has a deeper root in a humans DNA and not gender.

In the case of maturity and general common sense, girls are generally more mature than boys. The older a girl gets, the more she has a natural sense of decision making and responsibility - a quality that I see many men lack.

I would say that girls are smarter. Boys, even married, sometime tend to be playful and lazy sometimes. Just like in my situation, I would wake up early to prepare the things my kids would need to go to school. That's a smart thing to do. My husband would still be snoring in bed until I would wake him through loud words. That's not a smart move. Way back in my elementary and high school days, lots of boys would copy my answers during exams. Our valedictorian in elementary and high school were girls. These things gave me the idea that girls are smarter that boys.
