We as humans have taken the dominant lead as a superior species, our intellectual ability has ensured that we are on top.We treat ourselves as the most worthy species even at times misusing and mistreating other animals without a care in this world.I can say we run the damn world but a question always lingers in my head, do you think that we are better than other animals?Do we really matter? Is it by chance that we do lead or it was meant to be.From the Biblical perspective, man was entrusted the responsibility of taking care of God's creation, he was given the power to rule over other animals.

What is your take on we as humans, do we really matter more?

On a philosophical argumentation, every living creature matters and not just humans. The fact that human is God's favorite creature who has the gift of intelligence, free will and ability to show emotions tempts us to believe that we matter the most. But on a logical sense, we truly matter, just as the rest of the creatures on Earth.

We are at the top of the food chain, done more than any other animal in history, and so we humans are special for our times. But when you think about it dinosaurs had our place before us, and there gone. Evolution creates more and more complex organisms through time, and so humans will be replaced one day by another species, maybe our decedents or some other animals decedents.

We as humans matter because we were created in the image and likeness of God. Other main reasons why humans matter are.
    1. Angels were made to serve God by serving man, but man was made to serve God directly.
    2. Human grace, holiness, and love are greater virtues than angelic wisdom and strength.
    3. Believers are united to Christ in a way angels never will be.
