Home-made creams

I recently got interested in making my own body creams because I have a bad reaction to so many in the market (itchy rashes etc). I consider myself curious and I have a bunch of things from my kitchen to play around with. So yesterday, I tried my hand at making a facial scrub from equal parts (slightly melted) coconut oil and bicarbonate of soda with a few drops of lavender. It went rock-hard, but it worked well as a defoliator and my skin didn't react to it at all! I was really pleased with myself.

Does anyone have any good recipes for any home-made face creams that work? Please share. Thanks.
