Recent improvements in technology are so high, that computer controlled robots are carrying out most activities that required human input earlier on, for example, nowadays big aircrafts can be flown hands-free, whereas back in time they required up to four crews on the cockpit.

Do you think that computers are actually wiping human employees off the industry?

No, The advancement of technology will put humans in a position where they are independent of all anchors of necessity. Imagine not having to worry about anything because it is all taken care of by technology. This will, in turn, do two things. One, give us time to fulfill what seems like our unlimited wants and desires. The second thing is that when we are not taking action of our desires, we will be pondering, thinking..... as we all do, and eventually someone will question the things that we assume to be normal or are impossible to overcome like death, like time, like the infinite space that surrounds us. My friend theorized that one day, the people of this world will want more than what is available to us. We will want something supernatural, maybe even on the level of a what we conceptualize as GODLY. It's kind of poetic to think a story told about a GODLY being creating a species would develop a desire to be GODLY like a child imitating the actions of a parent.

In developing countries where jobs available are in adequate technology will be threat. The advent of ATM machines has relieve some people off their jobs in the banking sector. In a situation you have a robot in your fuel station the need for you to employ will not be necessary, the advent of social apps has made poster services less effective which lead to staff retrenchment.

Technology is not, by any means, a threat to employment, but a booster. With technology, countless people have gained financial freedom in life. Technology has set hundreds of thousands of people free from the captivity of poverty. It has brought great exposure to this generation and a positive signal to the next generations. Technology has proved to be the lasting solution to the on-going global economic crisis.

In most parts of the world, unemployment has become the order of the day and that can only be resolved by technology. The earlier we start taking advantage of technology now, the better for us and our coming generations.

I don't believe that technology is a threat to employment. Yes, it is true that many industrial operations are being automated and controlled by computers(robots). However, many professionals such as computer analysts, system engineers, etc, are also being employed to monitor these robots and the working. Also, advancement in technology such as Internet, has given millions of people the opportunity to work online from any part of the world.

Technology has gone a long way in the life of everyone in diverse ways. Technology has provided job opportunities for many jobless graduates who have always been roaming about the streets of the world in search of worthless jobs. Information and Communication Technology is a product of technology and this has greatly brought exposure to the lives of many talented youths. Information and Communication Technology has opened doors to hundreds of online money making programs. People have learnt a lot of tips and strategies for making money online through this and many lives have got better eventually.

Technology has made communication easier and faster than before in all ramifications. Ever before, people used to send messages through postal agencies to their family and friends. Nowadays, messages can be sent to anyone electronically throughout the world without spending a dime. This only takes a few seconds and all messages get delivered to the recipient almost instantly without any delay.

Modern technology is both a threat and a booster at the same time.
For the booster, think of the production process in our industries. With the partial or complete automation of machineries, the industry can produce very many units in a day contrary to when human used to operate the machines.High quality products are produced.Automated systems can produce 24 hours a day as the element of exhaustion and fatigue is out.
Communication is also a major sector boosted by technology. Today,a person can contact the other even when their geographical positions are very far apart .Consider also the global positioning system (GPS), a driver doesn't need a map to get to their destination, likewise the GPS tracking system for the security of our vehicles and bikes.
On the threat side, technology has rendered very many people jobless as their jobs can be done by computers.
Filing clerks are no longer required as ms-excel can accommodate all that data in a single sheet.
I think technology has its own shortcomings but the positive part largely outdoes the negative. Let's embrace technology.

Lets stop for a while and think about this...why is everyone pointing fingers to technology and accusing it of being
responsible for joblessness? If we can change the angle at which we are looking at it as a problem, we will
realise that its actually an opportunity for us to upgrade our minds and be tech savvy. Imaging living in a world
where everyone understands coding,or computer science, thats when the real fun will begin. You know, knowing to code guves one God like ability, and a part from that,it helps you use your mind to the fullest.

So technology should not be an excuse of unemployment, lets take the challenge and learn.

To me, technology is a boost to employment going by today's record, it could be seen that most technologically advanced countries like the US, CHINA, AUSTRA, SWITZERLAND etc, has the lowest unemployment rate in the world compares to nontechnological advanced countries like in Africa as seen in NIGERIA , TOGO, GHANA etc, where unemployment rates are very high. which cannot be traced to technology
No doubt, employment has been affected by technology negatively but it has also affected it in most positive ways because most computer firms increase their employment by employing experts that maintain and controls those technologies.
In terms of productivity, technology improves efficiency in productivity.Think of a farmer whose annual cassava production is ten tonnes of cassava without technology, the farmer could produce ten times the tonnes of cassava he produces annually with less stress and cost.
In other words, the benefit and importance of technology in improving the lively hood of human beings including employment can never be overemphasized. Emerging the world without technology in the medical field, where technologies such as life support machines, incubators, oxygen, where all employed to aid and sustain human lives which have not reduce the help and employment of medical experts.
