What is Tourette syndrome? It was named after Dr. Georges Gilles de la Tourette, who studied the case of the first Tourette patient. A person who has Tourette syndrome suffers from a neurological disorder. A person who has repetitive movements on the face or body or in other words excessive tics.

Some regular people find it funny to see some people who are doing odd things over and over again or having facial expressions such as twitching mouth or eyes or sometimes to extent of putting out tongue.

Now it is time to educate everyone that this is not funny at all. People who suffer from this disorder need more understanding.

May is the Tourette Awareness month, so I am sharing this with you.
