It's time we start asking ourselves some questions, we know we can't depend on man to be truthful. Let's just see what we've been told.
Why would God make a new heaven? With God's power would he need to destroy earth to renew it? Who would take pleasure seeing the earth destroyed? If everything God made was good, why would He need to destroy it?
Why are priests called father? Jesus said, "Call no earthly man father". How can priests forgive sin when the Bible says only God can? Why was Cain afraid of being killed by someone outside the garden of Eden? Does this mean that Adam, Eve and their sons were not the first people? Why did God say, "Let us make man in Genesis" and said He alone made the world in the New Testament?
Why are both Jesus and Satan reffered to as the morning star? Why would God allow His own son to die to pay a debt to Himself to save His own creation?
What are your opinions on some of the things that don't seem to make sense in the Bible?

I concur with you Gibbs on this one, there is literally hundreds if not thousands of Bible contradictions and the more I find the more hilarious the Bible becomes. Here is a list of a few things that I have managed to put together.
*In the four books of the gospels, we can read about Jesus' death and resurrection. Each book is littered with contradictions, but the most glaring one of them all regards what the women did after they saw Jesus' tomb empty. In Matthew 28:8, the women run to tell the disciples about their findings but in Mark 16:8, we learn that the women didn't tell anyone.
*2 Peter 2:4 and Jude 1:4 clearlystates the devil and his angels have been thrown into darkness where they shall remain in chains until judgement day. Job 1:7, Job 2:2 and 1 Peter 5:8 show the devil loose from his chains, walking about on earth tempting human beings. Indeed in 1 Peter he might take form of a hungry lion chasing down drunk people for snucks.
*In both Acts 16:31 and 1 Corinthians 7:14 teaches us that if a christian husband marries an atheist wife, he is saving the immortal soul of the wife. Acts takes us a step farther alleging that his entire family will be saved. Merely two verses later in 1 Corinthians 7:16 the Bible is less confident about it's earlier claims. In the latter verse we see the phrase 'for all you know' essentialy implying the Bible may be wrong but it also may be right.

I believe theres so many discrepancies in the Bible because just like any other book,it was written by humans. It a book of many different letter hand picked by priest to form a book. And that book has been revised and changed over the course of hundreds of years. The stories in the end became incomplete and probably completely different from what the original stories where. After all, it was passed on by word of mouth in the beginning. It's like playing the game telephone. You never get your message to the last person without it getting twisted.
