When forum owners rate us, many a time our average rating goes down which leads to less value per post and the inability to subscribe to forums that call for high ratings.

Can there be a provision to unsubscribe those forums that adversely affect ratings and their ratings no longer get added to total ratings?

If you are writing quality content, and are subscribed to a forum that you enjoy and have some knowledge about, then there is no reason why you should have a poor rating that makes your average go down, @iamawriter . It is important to only subscribe to forums where you are proficient enough about the topic to make high quality posts and start good threads.
That being said, If you do get a poor rating, then the way to bring that rating back up is to contact the forum owner and ask why you were given a lower rating.
Sometimes, they will put this information right along with the rating, and either way, once you know what the problems was, then you can correct it and write better posts.
When you write posts the way that the forum owner asks you to do, then they will usually change your rating to a higher one.
