We tend to despise readily available foods. Bananas are victims of this mindset. Their nutritional value is underrated. The health benefits of bananas include the following:
    1. High Fibre Content
Some studies have shown that the consumption of high fibre foods significantly lowers the risk of heart disease.
    2. Potassium
Bananas contain potassium which helps to regulate blood pressure.
    3. Essential Nutrients
Bananas are loaded with calcium, manganese, magnesium, and riboflavin. All these are essential for the proper functioning of the human body.
    4. High Iron Content
Iron is essential in the fight against anemia.

The next time you get an opportunity to have a banana, do not let it pass.

I agree with Glory, bananas are very nutritious and they are very cheap, affordable to buy. Bananas contain fiber, potassium, folate, and antioxidants, such as vitamin C. All of these support heart health. A 2017 review found that people who follow a high fiber diet have a lower risk of cardiovascular disease than those on a low fiber diet.

They contain several essential nutrients and provide benefits for digestion, heart health and weight loss. Aside from being very nutritious, they are also a highly convenient snack food.

The most common type is the Cavendish, which is a type of dessert banana. Green when unripe, it yellows as it matures.
