    The Pratfall Effect: this is the tendency of one's likability to increase in the eyes of others simply because of being imperfect.

    The Pygmalion Effect: greater expectations drive greater performance.

    The Paradox of Choice: the more choices one has, the less likely they are to be content with any one choice.

    The Bystander Effect: the more people who see someone in need, the less likely that person is to receive help.

    The Spotlight Effect: our mistakes are not noticed as much as we think.

    The Focussing Effect: People place too much emphasis on one aspect of an event and fail to recognize the other factors.
