So, we know that food is good, but not all food is good for you. And it's mostly really good food that's not good for you. Now, if you are living with chronic pain or illness, what you eat should be a priority for you. Inflammation fighting foods are good as well as good for you. Now, who wouldn't want to learn to prepare and eat good-tasting, flavorful food that may help ease some of those annoying aches and pains?

A 2012 study showed that drinking cherry juice twice on a daily basis for 21 days can reduce pain in patients with OA. Blood tests also showed that their inflammation was significantly reduced. Researchers discovered that people who had a glass of cherry juice twice daily, slept longer at night and napped less during the day. Tart cherries include antioxidants and anti-inflammatory elements that might reduce muscle pain.

Tart cherries are naturally rich in potassium, which can transmit electrical impulses throughout the body. This mineral can also help to manage muscle regeneration, blood pressure, heart rate, hydration, nerve impulse, digestion, and pH balance. Cherries contain about 330 milligrams (mg) of potassium per cup, which is almost 10 percent of your daily recommended value.
